Make an Appointment
Patford House Surgery operate a system where you are seen by appointment only. We can book routine appointments with Doctors up to 2 months in advance and with Nurses for 1 month in advance. If your condition is urgent, we have appointments available for you to be seen same day, however this might not be with your preferred Doctor or Nurse. Reception will ask you a few questions about the problem in order to direct you to the right person for treatment. Remember they are governed by the same confidentiality rules as doctors and nurses.
Once you are registered with Patford House, you will be able to book an appointment. Routine appointments can be booked either by coming into reception or by telephoning. Please remember that our lines are most busy between between 8.30 and 11am.
All patients are seen by appointment only. When booking an appointment, please let the receptionist know if you have any preference as to which Doctor you see, although you may have to wait longer.
A standard appointment is 10 minutes long. If you feel you need a little longer, please mention this to the receptionist when you are booking.
Upon arrival, please book in via our Self Check-In System, which is to the right of the reception desk. However, if you would prefer, please proceed directly to the receptionists on duty.
Self Check-in
In our reception, you will see our system for Self Check-in. This allows you to register yourself when you arrive for your appointment.
How do I use the Self Check-in?
Enter your Date-of-Birth or you can register your finger print with us at reception. Don’t hesitate to ask at Reception if you need assistance to check-in.
Running late?
If you arrive late for your appointment you may be required to wait until the end of surgery in order to avoid inconveniencing other patients. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will need to re-book your appointment.
To cancel an appointment
If you no longer need your appointment, please call to cancel it as soon as possible so we can offer it to another patient. You can also cancel by telephoning when the surgery is closed.
We still have many wasted appointments which results in longer waiting times to see the doctors and nurses for all patients. Please note that patients who persistently miss appointments may be removed from the surgery list.
Registering as a new patient
If you would like to register as a new patient at Patford House Surgery, please first check whether your live within our catchment area.
