Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions
If you are on regular medication, you may be able to obtain your medication through a repeat prescription request. Unfortunately we are unable to take repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
To request a repeat prescription, please use the Repeat Prescription Form.
Once we receive your request, please allow two working days for it to be ready for collection. You will need to state which chemist you would like to collect from or whether you would prefer to collect it from us at the surgery. If you would like us to forward it to one of the local chemists, then this may take up to 24 hours longer depending on the chemist. We are unable to post your prescription unless you provide a stamped addressed envelope. Unfortunately, we are unable to post prescriptions to any chemist outside of Calne.
At the bottom of your prescription, you will find a review date. If this date is exceeded by more than 6 months, a prescription may not be issued until an appointment is made with a Doctor. If this date is exceeded by 12 months, your repeat prescription will be withdrawn until you have seen a Doctor or Nurse.

Please remember to state the following information on your repeat prescription:
- The chemist in Calne you would like to collect from (Patford House Surgery, Co-op, Boots or Lloyds)
- Your Name
- Quantity
- Dosage
Please do not alter the quantities of the prescription items without first consulting your doctor.
If you request an urgent prescription (giving us less than 48 hours notice), only 7 days of medication will be provided. You will then need to request a further repeat prescription.
Unused Medication
If you have any unwanted, out of date or unused medication, please return it to one of the local pharmacies for disposal. We are not permitted to accept such medication so please do not bring it into the surgery.
